Gaming News Netflix x Ubisoft: Several games announced by the two giants, including Unknown Soldiers 2
During the Ubisoft Forward, we were treated to a barrage of announcements! And one of the most striking is undoubtedly the partnership that brings together two giants: Ubisoft, of course, but also Netflix, which will have exclusive games, including a highly anticipated one.
Unknown Soldiers 2 and two other games coming to Netflix soon
During the last Ubisoft conference dedicated in particular to the future of the Assassin’s Creed saga, we learned that the French publisher and Netflix have formed a nice alliance to improve the game catalog of the SVOD platform. And if that information seems less to you, that’s because you don’t know the rest of the story.
It was Netflix’s Mike Verdu himself who announced the news that the games division of the American giant will be entitled to three new games signed by Ubisoft. The first is nothing but the sequel to a title acclaimed by the press and the public, we are referring here to Unknown Soldiers: Memoirs of the Great War, a title that told the story of soldiers during World War I, but also of characters hidden in the shadows, like the women and children who stayed behind to make guns and ammunition.
I’m excited to announce today our partnership with Ubisoft to continue bringing great games to gamers around the world. Over the next few years, Netflix members will have exclusive access to not just one, not two, but three games from Ubisoft’s most popular licenses. The first is Unknown Soldiers 2. Mike Verdu, Director of Netflix Gaming, at Tech&Co.
This sequel, soberly titled Unknown Soldiers 2, will therefore be available exclusively for the Netflix platform. And if the title remains very enigmatic at the moment, know that we will have more news in the near future as everything is expected for January 2023.
Secondly, we have the rights to the sequel to The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, a roguelite also expected in 2023.
cherry on the cake, Players can also venture into an Assassin’s Creed Mobile game. If the latter was only mentioned during Mike Verdu’s intervention, it is assumed to be Assassin’s Creed Jade. A title that swaps the 2D of the next Assassin’s Creed games to be released on mobile for a fully three-dimensional open world. The app doesn’t have a release date, but note that it has China as its playground.
Several Assassin’s Creed series are also in production
End, Netflix and Ubisoft continue their announcements by unveiling the arrival of several Assassin’s Creed series, including one in live action. The latter, which is still shrouded in shadow, will have Ubisoft Film & Television’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik as co-producers and Jeb Stuart (Vikings: Valhalla) as director.
