revealed in Disney and Marvel Games ShowcaseGargoyles will master the remasters for over 10 years since SEGA Genesis was first released.
Gargoyles was first released in 1995 as a video game adaptation of the animated series of the same name. Neither the series nor the game was as popular at the time as other Disney classics like The Lion King and Aladdin, but it’s still a game that awakens a warm feeling that many miss.
This is a downright classic platformer that honestly looks great right now, so it’ll be interesting to see what Empty Clip does with the remaster. As of now, all we know is to expect updated visuals and controls.
Empty Clip is no stranger to retro remasters either, bringing ’90s vibes to the likes of Dead Island 2: Retro Revenge, Streets of Kamurocho, and Hoshi. So hopefully the update controls and graphics of the Gargoyles remaster are up to par!
As for when you can expect the remake, Disney didn’t reveal any further information. We can only assume that means there will be a wait before anyone actually gets a 2D side-scroller remaster.
Meanwhile, Disney and Marvel Game Show have also revealed Disney Illusion Island, a brand new co-op platformer exclusively for Nintendo Switch! As if that wasn’t enough, Midnight Sun now also has a release date.
