Apple increases another of its services!
Several reasons, beyond Apple’s control, have impacted the price increase of the iPhone in several countries. However, this is not the only increase that users will have to deal with. As stated on the company’s official website, some services such as battery replacement have also increased significantly.
According to the update, replacing the batteries only for the four recently released iPhone 14 models increased by 43%. The price includes the cost of a new battery and service from an Apple Store or Apple Repair Center. iPhone battery replacement costs also vary between Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Considering the fact that the battery capacities of the iPhone 14 are almost identical to those of the iPhone 13, it is not clear why the service has only increased for the iPhone 14 models. Thus, in Europe , the costs changing the battery in other iPhone models costs 75 dollars, while replacing it in the iPhone 14 costs 119 dollars.

As Apple explains on its official website, iPhone battery change charges when it stops working due to battery deterioration caused by normal use. While if the iPhone is under warranty, AppleCare+ then the repair is carried out free of chargebut only if the battery retains less than 80% of its original capacity.
Even though this update is one of the least attractive for users, it is also important to consider that users rarely have to resort to this expense. In most cases, iPhone battery longevity should last for several years until replaced.
