Forget broadcast battles – it brings movie theater subscription battles.
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has officially unveiled it full subscription. Previously, the pass was only available in beta at two Alamo locations in Yonkers, New York and Raleigh, North Carolina. Now, it will be available for use in all 41 theaters across the country.
The pass, which will be priced between $ 14.99 and $ 29.99 a month depending on location, will allow theaters to attend one movie a day viewing at the Alamo locations. 3D images, 70mm, Dolby Atmos, and The Big Show premium format will be available for an additional $ 1.99 per ticket. Currently, the passport is available for purchase in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Antonio, Kansas City, Yonkers, Skyfield and New Braunfels. Some locations will roll out the program in the next few months.
"This is a big win for movie lovers," said Tim League founder, Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO. "The first reason we opened the Alamo for the first time was to share our favorite movies with as many people as possible, and Season Pass is a great way for people to discover more films."
The registration process is monthly, which means no pressure to commit to a full year.
