Crash detection will work on iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch!

A few days before the shipment of the first devices, the company shared a video to explain how this feature worksentirely dedicated to user safety.
In the video, Apple explains that the Shock Detection feature is designed to detect serious car accidents, such as front, side, and rear collisions or rollovers involving sedans, minivans, SUVs, vans and other passenger cars. Although he warns that the function cannot detect all car accidents.
Apple will be more helpful in an emergency
This new feature is possible thanks to the new dual-core accelerometer capable of detecting g-force measurements up to 256g and to the new extended dynamic range gyroscope, which are added to the other previous componentssuch as the barometer, which can now detect changes in cabin pressure, GPS, which provides additional information when speed varies, and the microphone capable of recognizing loud noises typical of serious traffic accidents, according to Apple.
The whole system described above will allow users to interact with the Apple Watch if they are wearing it, or with the iPhone if not. At the moment of the coalition, the devices react in the following way:
Compatible iPhone or Apple Watch displays an alert and triggers an alarm. If a user can, they can call emergency services by swiping the Emergency Call slider on iPhone or Apple Watch, or dismiss the alert. If it does not respond to the alert after 10 seconds, the device will start another 10 second countdown. If there is no response, the device calls for help.
