Tekken 8 is now official, and it looks better than ever

official, Tekken

After several months of speculation, rumors and leaks, Bandai Namco has finally officially presented Tekken 8. The new installment in the series, at the hands of Koei Tecmo, was presented at today’s State of Play. For now, we only know that it’s already a fact, but we don’t have an official release date.

In the trailer shown, as soon as we start they teach us two mythical characters of the saga. We’re talking about Kazama and Jin, father and son who have been adversaries for many episodes of Tekken. What looked like a CGI cutscene at first turned out to be totally spectacular gameplay, showing off the power of Unreal Engine 5.

Tekken 8 sports next-gen graphics

Although the footage was taken from the story mode, it is not pre-rendered video, made for the trailer, but real-time rendered footage, running at 60 frames per second, the same way you would experience the game in story mode. . battle (of course, some effects, dialogues and camera angles are still being worked on, which may change when the game is released)

Knowing that’s how it looks on other consoles, we can rest assured that on Xbox Series X the quality won’t conflict with what’s seen in this trailer.

Tekken 8, finally announced, does not yet have a release date; not even a tentative date. We are waiting for news about it, for now we know that it will be exclusive to the new generation and it looks luxurious.
