Following on from our last DLC, Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion, we’re adding four more impressive prehistoric species to help you expand your ever-evolving dinosaur parks. This time we’ve delved deep into the fascinating era of the Late Cretaceous to bring you spectacular new additions on land, sea and air. Introduce them to your park by purchasing them Pack of the late Cretaceous on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S when it releases tomorrow, September 15th.
The Late Cretaceous was a time over 65 million years ago that produced all sorts of magnificent life forms. We chose this pack because there were such diverse looking species on water, on land and in the air during the Cretaceous period. It is such a rich time span to draw from and offers us amazing complements Jurassic world evolution 2as well as a great companion to ours Pack of the Early Cretaceous. So let’s explore the four new prehistoric animals included in the upcoming release Pack of the late Cretaceous.
First, Barbaridactylus, a flying hunter with a prominent head crest. Our artists and designers have done a great job bringing this species back to life. Barbaridactylus thrived towards the end of the Late Cretaceous and takes its name from the Berber coast of North Africa, near its discovery. The Barbaridactylus is our first nyctosaur to be added to the game and it’s really exciting to add a flying reptile with such a distinctive head crest. If you haven’t already built an aviary in your park, I really recommend you start doing so so that you can give Barbaridactylus a home.
Next, Alamosaurus. This is a true titan and one of the largest dinosaurs in North America. In fact, he can claim to be one of the largest dinosaurs of all time. To give you an idea of its sheer size, even its shin manages to surpass the average adult human. But that’s not all. Alamosaurus is also armored and sports large spikes running down its shoulders, back, and tail. I really like the shape and size of the neck on the Alamosaurus – it has real weight as it moves through your parks.
Equally impressive is the medium-sized carnivore Australovenator. Now Australovenator is a speed demon galloping through late Cretaceous Australia at cheetah pace. However, unlike a cheetah, this species has flexible prehensile arms used for grasping. In fact, one of my favorite elements is the unique animation when the Australovenator reaches out and grabs food. With its light frame and hypermobility, this is an experienced hunter that excels at stalking and hunting prey. The pattern and colors of the Australovenator are also among my favorites. It has some really vibrant contrasting colors.
Another prehistoric animal that we think you’ll love introducing into your park is Styxosaurus. This intimidating species is an efficient sea predator, dominating the waves with a deadly combination of large fins, streamlined form, and deadly speed. Besides sounding very cool because it’s named after the River of Death, this is a great addition as it’s a marine reptile with bioluminescence in some of the pattern colors. At night it lights up as it floats around the lagoon.
Along with the new pack, we will also be releasing the free Update 4 with a bunch of new features. It includes improvements such as the ability to wake up tranquilized dinosaurs either directly or through task assignment with the new Stimulator Dart. And watch the skies, because flying reptiles can now attack Capture Team helicopters! There are also many beautiful new lagoon decorations in the base game update for you to personalize including banners, fountains, customizable lights and even an Indominus Rex skeleton to place on the lagoon floor.
We are so excited for you to check out our latest DLC and discover the incredible new prehistoric animals that are waiting for you, as well as check out the brand new Update 4. They are guaranteed to make amazing additions to cover land, sea and sky. Buy those Pack of the late Cretaceous to the Jurassic world evolution 2 when it releases tomorrow on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and experience a world that has evolved!
Notice that Pack of the late Cretaceous requires Jurassic Evolution 2 play base game.
