SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announce like a dragon 8 and Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name Available for consoles and PCs.
Announced on a livestream ahead of TGS 2022, Like a Dragon 8 will star Kazuma Kiryu and Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s Haruhi.
With the release of the game, the Yakuza name appears to have been retired in the West, as the developers chose to refer to the series by the same name as its Japanese counterpart.
Like a Dragon 8 is coming to PC, Ps4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2024.
In addition to the game, spinoffs from the series have also been announced.
Titled Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, it’s coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Dragon Gaiden is set between the events of Yakuza 6 and the upcoming Like a Dragon 8. It tells the story from the perspective of Kiryu and Ma, and will be about half the size of the other games in the series.
Expected in 2023.
And don’t forget: And like a dragon: Yixin is here. It’s a remake of Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin, a spinoff game not previously available in Western markets.
You can expect it to hit PS4 and PS5 in February 2023.
