It was time for a new launch from Xiaomi, in the face of the important period of parties and offers that is approaching. A year after the presentation of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, we expect exactly the same in a few days, most likely next week.

Given that the launch is so close, it’s no surprise that both models have already been leaked, as it’s more likely that more people have been able to get their hands on a test or press unit. That’s exactly what happened, and we already not only know the technical details, we can even get an idea of its performance.
Xiaomi 12T, bet on Mediatek
The new range of Xiaomi mobiles before the future Xiaomi 13 will be divided into two different models, the basic and the Pro. The first will perhaps stand out more by betting not on a Qualcomm processor as usual, but on a Mediatek model .
A test with Geekbench is the leak that served to confirm that the Xiaomi 12T would use a Mediatek Dimensity 8100, with eight cores, four of which run at 2.85 GHz and the other four at 2 GHz; It is accompanied by a Mali-G610 GPU and 8 GB of RAM. It is a common configuration in medium-high range mobiles, such as the Realme GT Neo 3, where it surprised us with its performance and above all with its temperature control.
The Xiaomi 12T will be familiar in more aspects, such as the design, which should be an evolution of the basic design of the Xiaomi 12, and in components such as the cameras, where we will find the same 108 Mpx sensor that has been used in other mobiles of the company, accompanied by an 8 Mpx wide angle and a 2 Mpx depth sensor. On the front, a 20 Mpx selfie camera in a hole in the screen, which is 6.67 inches and OLED technology with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
We know a little less about the Xiaomi 12T Pro, but a leak in the Google Play certification indicates that it would probably be a similar mobile, but with superior technical characteristics starting with the processor, which would be the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which we have seen in several high end mobiles.
Where this model will really stand out is in the camera, as it will use Samsung’s new 200MP sensor which debuted in the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, although the rest of the cameras will be less impressive, retaining the same 8MP 2MP wide angle and macro of its “little brother”.
