Genshin Impact 3.1 release date and time in the same way banner and event details have been announced for the next update, titled King Deshret and the Three Magi.
As always, there are two phases of Banners and new limited-time events in the latest patch, with Genshin Impact 3.1 Banners featuring three new Sumeru characters and two replays. Information has also been revealed about plans for the second anniversary, a new card game that will be introduced in the 3.3 update, and a Genshin Impact animation in the works!

Genshin Impact 3.1 Release Time in UK, CEST, EDT and PDT
Re-confirmed during the 3.1 livestream, developer miHoYo revealed that Genshin Impact 3.1 will be released on Wednesday, September 28. If you follow the usual maintenance schedule for new updates, the release time for 3.1 will be after about five hours of server downtime starting at 6am (UTC+8).
As detailed in the Genshin Impact 3.0 live stream, unless changed, the Genshin Impact future patch update schedule is as follows:
- Variant 3.2 – Wednesday, November 2
- Variant 3.3 – Wednesday, December 7
Keep in mind that these dates may change.
Genshin Impact 3.1 Banners
Three new playable characters make their debut in Update 3.0: Cyno, Candace and Nilou.
Phase 1 begins with the Twilight Arbiter and the Ballad in Goblet Banners, with new Electro Cyno 5 stars featured in Twilight Arbiter and Fan Favorite (Tier S) Anemo 5 stars Twenty presented in Ballade en gobelets. Moreover, new Candance Hydro 4 stars will be the featured boosted 4 star in the Cyno and Venti banners.
As usual, Phase 1 Banners will run side-by-side and will be available starting Wednesday, September 28. Banners 3.1 Phase 1 should then end two and a half weeks later.
In Phase 2 of Banners 3.1, we have Spinning Lotus and Secret of Secretswith Twirling Lotus with a new character Hydro Nilou 5 starsand Secret of Secrets featuring the return Albedo Geo 5 stars.
All the new 4-star and 5-star featured characters you could want in the 3.0 update are:
- Cyno (Twilight Arbiter Banner – Phase 1): New 5-star Electro character who uses a polearm.
- Candace (Twilight Arbiter and Ballad in Goblets Banner – Phase 1): New 4-star Hydro character who also uses a polearm.
- Nilou (Whirling Lotus – Phase 2): New 5-star Hydro character that uses a sword.
- Venti (Walk in the Banner of Goblets – Phase 1): Return of the 5-star Anemo character who uses a bow, and is best used in a support and sub-DPS role.
- Albedo (Secret Banner of Secrets – Phase 2): Return of a 5 star Geo character who uses a sword and is best used in a secondary DPS role.
There are also five new weapons in Genshin Impact in 3.1, with the new 5-Star Staff of the Scarlet Sands Polearm and 5 Star Key to the Khaj-Nisut Sword to feature in Phases 1 and 2 of the upcoming Epitome Invocation weapon banners respectively.
In addition to 5-star weapons, there are three 4 star weapons added to Epitome Summon pool in Genshin Impact 3.1 update. The new 4-star weapons in 3.1 are:
- Moonlight of Xiphos (Sword)
- Aquamarine Makhaira (clay)
- Wandering Evening Star (Catalyst)
As a reminder, all Phase 1 Banners will be available from Wednesday 28 September and, then, should be replaced by the Phase 2 banners two and a half weeks later, when the time comes on November 2 to prepare for the 3.2 update and a new set of banners.

Genshin Impact 3.1 Events
In addition to Acts 3 and 4 of Chapter 3 Archon Quest and Story Quests for Cyno and Nilou, we get five limited-time events during Update 3.1 at Genshin Impact.
We don’t yet know the exact release date for each event, but here are details on what you’ll be doing for each of the five events in 3.1.
Genshin Impact Of Ballads and Brews Event
In addition to learning the origins of Albedo, the Of Ballads and Brews event allows you to unlock four different game modes: Autumn Crisis, Highwind Trial, Charity and Creativity, and Fecund Blessings.
Autumn Crisis is a combat challenge where you can only use your normal attacks – but you can get useful bonuses in the area to help you get rid of the boars and complete the stages of this task. Highwind Trial is another combat challenge, but this time you need to use a special “Sublime Anemograna” to gain buffs to defeat tough enemies.
Charity and Creativity is a completely different experience, tasking you with running a shop! You’ll need to complete a few small quests to get the shop really up and running, and then when your shop is open, you’ll need to manage your funds in three different priorities: product quality, business efficiency, and holistic service. Adjusting these three sliders until they are perfect will allow you to earn more “Business Income”. You can also hire assistants to help you.
Fecund Blessings is another kind of treasure hunt challenge where you have to follow clues in order to locate “fecund baskets” (chests) scattered around Teyvat. These baskets contain many different types of rewards, including decorations that you can actually use to fulfill commissions for your shop in Charity and Creativity.

Genshin Impact Wind Chaser Event
The Wind Chaser event in Genshin Impact 3.1 is an area challenge, where you’ll need to create wind currents to navigate through its floating platforms and – similar to the Summertime Odyssey event character areas in 3.0 – only this times you have to collect ‘Wind Coins’ among other tasks. Wind Chaser can also be experienced with a friend in co-op.

Genshin Impact Star-Seeker Sojourn Event
In Star Seeker’s Sojourn, you must equip an event-exclusive gadget to “search for future stars” and help a child called Banu. It’s a different type of treasure hunt challenge, as your gadget will indicate if a Future Star is nearby when you approach it, helping you narrow down the search area.
The rewards you can earn during the Star-Seeker’s Sojourn event include:

Genshin Impact Hyakunin Ikki Event
The Hyakunin Ikki event is back and taking place in Inazuma. This battle challenge divides six of your characters into teams of two. You can switch between characters and teams during combat challenges, which you are encouraged to take advantage of, as a team’s combat ability will decrease the longer they remain on the field.
The rewards you can earn during the Hyakunin Ikki event include:

Genshin Impact Path of the Gleaming Jade Login Event
This is the easiest event to complete in Genshin Impact 3.1, as you only need to log in for seven days to get ten Intertwined Fates! There are also other rewards as part of the Path of the Gleaming Jade event, such as Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Hero’s Wit.
You should also check your mailbox regularly during 3.1, as you’ll receive an impressive 1,600 Primogems, x4 Fragile Resin, and two commemorative gadgets in honor of Genshin Impact’s second anniversary.
