Grand Theft Auto IV: Returns on Steam, but not completely

Auto, completely, Grand, Returns, Steam, Theft

Even though the release of Grand Theft Auto IV was a few years ago, a message recently caught your eye: The action classic initially disappeared from Steam, but will soon be available again for the PC. But there is a catch.

After the final end of Games for Windows Live caused Grand Theft Auto IV to disappear from the popular Steam platform for the PC, Rockstar Games is now giving the all clear for fans of the classic: GTA 4 will soon return to the platform if the developers have implemented the necessary changes for this.

However, not everything that glitters is gold, because players have to live with proper cuts. When the title returns to Steam on March 19, the main game and the DLC "Episodes from Liberty City" will be combined in a so-called Complete Edition and existing saves can still be used, but important features will no longer be supported.

The Complete Edition, which Rockstar also sells through the in-house Rockstar Games Launcher, will no longer have the multiplayer part compared to the original. In addition, players on Steam will also have to do without the leaderboards, which have been shelved in addition to the GFWL protocol. Last but not least (probably for licensing reasons) some radio stations will disappear at least temporarily, namely RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM and Vice City FM.

Anyone who has already installed GTA 4 will receive a corresponding update in March, which will then raise this version to the level of the Complete Edition.
