Waiting for the next iPhone might pay off

That waiting can pay off is meant literally. This year, the new design of the notch takes place exclusively on the Pro models. We might be stretching ourselves a bit here, but we think Dynamic Island will catch on for the cheaper iPhones as well. Similar to what happened with the iPhone X – but more on that later.

The increase in performance of the iPhone 14 Pro is marginal compared to its predecessor. The A16 processor is based on 4-nanometer manufacturing. As can be seen in the roadmap of the supplier TSMC, chips with a production of 3 nanometers will not be possible until next year.

Apart from smaller chips, this production has other advantages: In addition to a drastically reduced power consumption and, at the same time, a longer battery life, a significant increase in performance can also be expected.

Significantly higher values ​​for output, performance and energy efficiency can therefore be expected next year.
