there may be one New PS5 If a source speaking to Insider Gaming is to be believed, it’s on the horizon.This shiny new PS5 will have a removable disk drive, allowing you to plug in and play any physical game you’re idle. This PS5 will apparently also ditch the A, B, and C chassis used in previous iterations. However, it will have the same hardware features as the current model.
According to anonymous sources who spoke with Insider Gaming, the removable disk drive will connect to the PS5 via a USB port on the back of the console. The new console will reportedly be sold separately or as part of a bundle, and the removable drive is also sold separately, so if you wiggle it, step on it, or otherwise break it, you can replace it (relatively) cheaply it method.
It’s no secret that since its 2020 release, the PS5 has been a product that many are desperately snapping up! This new version of the console seems to bridge the gap between the regular PS5 and the digital PS5, so if you’re not quite sure which version is best for you, you can now get the best of both worlds.
It’s fun without a frame, though. If these reports are true, the question of how this new chassis looks will even be the pressing question behind the price point and availability. We hope that anything with this new PS5, if it exists, maintains the same unique look as its predecessor.
