Destroy Chrome objects, then collect Chrome anomalies is one of the final stages of the paradise story quests part 1 in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
This is a bit of a tricky challenge, as the task doesn’t tell you exactly where Chrome items are or how to collect Chrome anomalies in Fortnite, so we’ve detailed exactly how to do this below.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 32k XP, which will help you unlock more Battle Pass skins.

Chrome Item Locations in Fortnite
For the first part of the “Destroy Chrome Objects, then Collect Chrome Anomalies” challenge, you will need locate already transformed objects in Chrome or use Chrome Splash. This consumable lets you roam the map as a Chrome Blob and pass through walls in the current season – but that’s not what you’re going to use it for. You can instead use it to overlay objects to turn them into Chrome objects.
You can find Chrome Splash as floor loot and in chests, but we recommend going to the Lustrous Lagoon, Herald Shrine, or Glittering Shrine landmarks on the eastern side of the map, as these are great places to find and destroy Chrome items, or find Chrome Splash.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is almost here! Before that, make sure you get all the remaining Battle Pass rewards you want, unlock the Indiana Jones skin (give yourself plenty of time to solve the secret door outside the main chamber in the Shuffled Shrines puzzle!), and make sure you you to spend those gold bars. Meanwhile, learn to expand your character collection and learn how to earn the Victory Umbrella and Victory Crowns.
How to Destroy Chrome Items then Collect Chrome Anomalies in Fortnite
To collect Chrome anomalies in Fortnite, all you need to do is destroy Chrome items. These can be Chrome objects you find in the locations mentioned above or Chrome objects you create using Chrome Splash. We found that we had one chrome anomaly per chrome object that we destroyed with our pickaxe.
It’s easier to complete this challenge by going to a location that’s already full of Chrome items, like Lustrous Lagoon or Shimmering Shrinebut you can also use Chrome Splash in other areas of the map to turn objects into Chrome objects to destroy them.
If you use the Chrome Splash method, you must cast it on objects not consumed by Chrome and then destroy the new Chrome object it transforms into to get Chrome anomalies. Our recommendation is to run Chrome Splash on the trees, as they tend to cluster together, allowing you to complete this challenge quickly.
You can use it to turn most objects into Chrome objects, however, depending on where you are, you can just start throwing the Chrome Splash and then destroy the objects you turn into Chrome Anomalies.
