Fire HD 8 and HD 8 Plus: Amazon makes its new tablets “legs”

On September 28, Amazon is holding a major product show, and the manufacturer is giving us a foretaste of this with the new Fire HD 8 and HD 8 Plus. The new edition of the popular Fire tablets can now be pre-ordered. Delivery will be on October 19th. Prices start at 114.99 dollars.

Amazon improved that

Compared to the direct predecessors, Amazon promises a performance increase of 30 percent. A new processor should literally “make legs” for the tablets. In addition, the manufacturer promises a slimmer design and lower weight. The differences to the previous generation released in 2020 are rather minimal in this respect.

As usual, the Plus version offers more RAM, faster charging and the option of charging the device wirelessly with the appropriate accessories. Both tablets are also available as Kids and Kids Pro in a version optimized for children. This includes, among other things, a stable protective cover.
