The new Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released in just over a month – but you can already see the new title for yourself.

As of now, Square Enix has released a free demo of the latest Star Ocean, dubbed The Divine Force, which is slated for full release on October 27, 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The trial version can now be downloaded on all console platforms mentioned and offers you a first glimpse in advance.

Developed by tri-Ace, the new title begins a new chapter in galactic history. An exciting story is told, which is intended to combine elements of science fiction and fantasy. There are two protagonists and you will be free to choose whose story you want to experience: that of Raymond, the captain of a merchant ship named Ydas, or that of Laeticia, the knightly princess of a kingdom on the medieval planet Aster IV. Destiny becomes both characters merge later.

In the playable demo you can watch the beginning of Raymond’s story and get an idea of ​​the rich sci-fi fantasy world with fast and action-packed combat.

Anyone who pre-orders the full version can secure special bonuses. For ordering the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition you will receive the following weapons for the protagonists:

  • Weapon used exclusively by Raymond (Greatsword): “Lionheart’s Bloodgand”
  • Weapon used exclusively by Laeticia (double blade): “Flashing Naglering”
