A new Unreal Engine 5 trailer has hyped an as-yet-untitled project based on a Korean fantasy novel, bird drinking tears, Published. The visual concept trailer titled The Nhaga Eater is a rather violent event, with beheadings before we see the brutal aftermath of a larger, bloodier battle.
Released by KRAFTON Inc, this concept trailer aims to showcase the futuristic aesthetics of various future projects that KRAFTON is working on with Iain McCaig, an American artist, writer and filmmaker who has previously worked on IP such as Star Wars, Terminator, Avengers, and more.
This trailer is the starting point for various projects. There will indeed be a game, with no planned release date yet, as KRAFTON is currently recruiting a team for the project. Until then, there’s an art book coming out in 2022, and then a 2023 graphic novel based on the same original Korean novel. In the official press release, an official movie was also mentioned, although details in this regard are scant.
The official website is particularly obscure, with little to do other than a few extra visual assets. But for now, KRAFTON seems to have had several years of media based on a well-known Korean novel. By the way, that novel is part of a very popular series. It will be exciting to see it adapted and how Western audiences react to it. The trailer we got certainly looks cool!
But enough of my opinion, what do you think! Give the trailer a watch above, and let us know below if you like the look KRAFTON is tinkering with. Let us know below if you’ve read The Bird That Drinks Tears!
