Diablo 4 A confidential closed end-game beta will be held, which will be the first opportunity for selected players to participate in testing an early version of the game.
It will be held on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. There will also be support for cross-play and cross-play across all platforms.
Blizzard said it decided to focus on the end game for several reasons, but chief among them was that it didn’t want to spoil the full story of Diablo 4. Regardless, for many, the end game is their favorite aspect of Diablo, so the team wanted to test it out to make sure it “feels satisfying” and has enough time to act on the feedback.
Once the closed beta begins, Blizzard will seek community feedback on various end-game products such as Helltide, Nightmare Dungeons, Whispers of the Dead, Realms of Hate, and Paragon Boards.
Game director Joe Shely and franchise general manager Rod Fergusson shared information about who might be selected to participate and what to expect in the video above and via a blog post.
Mainly Blizzard wants “experts” to participate in the confidential closed beta. Specifically, it will use game data to invite a limited number of Diablo players who have recently spent “a lot of time” playing the final game experience of previous games.
If you think you meet the requirements, please update your communication preferences through Battle.net so Blizzard can contact you. If you have not received an email invitation from a tester by November 18th, you have not been selected to participate. You may have to wait until the public beta phase begins early next year.
Diablo 4 is scheduled to be released next year.
