What if you put together a YouTuber who wants to gain subscribers, a hammer and the new Apple Watch Ultra that has just hit users who have already pre-ordered it. If you’re wondering why they have to do these things, the answer is simple: we really want to know and up to what threshold does the new apple watch resist which is supposed to have been created to withstand the worst weather conditions and the use that can be given. That’s what you get apart from a good heartache and the thought: it’s worth 1000 dollars!
The YouTube channel that specializes in submitting different devices to old-fashioned durability tests, or rather, with elements that we all have at home, TechRax, subjected these tests to the new Apple Watch Ultra which began to be received at users’ homes last Friday, September 23. This watch was designed by Apple for these extreme sports, limitless adventures in which the conditions can become very adverse. TechRax specialists wanted to check how hard is the sapphire crystal of the new watch.
In the video uploaded to his channel, he was tested dropping the Apple Watch Ultra from about five feet. The height from which the watch is more or less worn on the wrist. In this test there was damage, but insignificant and never on the glass, but on the part of the titanium case and there are some scratches.
They also checked the watch’s ability and resistance to scratches. For it, they put it in a jar full of cloves and shook it well, as if it were a 1000 euro cocktail. The surprise is that there was no damage. The resistance of the glass, and on this occasion of the box, was evident.
But the most impressive test and I’m not saying this because of the beatings the watch took, but because it’s visually amazing, is seeing how the protagonist of the video use a hammer against the clock without any mercy. In this test, the blows were repeated until the glass failed and broke. But not before smashing the table he was on. Withstood many attacks. This means we can live with it in real life, in everyday tasks. We could even drive a nail in the wall with it (Just kidding, don’t do it at home. It won’t work).
It is clear that Apple has done its job by creating a durable watch.
