Content: What does Update 1.2 deliver?
Update 2.1 brings a ton of improvements and changes to Battlefield 2042. All patch notes can be found on page 2 of this article. We have already summarized the highlights for you in the following list:
- Revision of the New Beginning map: Once again, DICE would like to implement the feedback from the community and has snapped up the map Neuanfang after Kaleidoskop. In concrete terms, this means that the infantry fights in a confined space should benefit from the new beginning rework. Flags and targets are now much closer together, walking distances have been shortened – in some cases entire areas of the map have even been removed! There are also more and new cover options to optimize the infantryman experience.
New
Waffen: Battlefield veterans know the P90 (from Battlefield 3), the GOL Sniper Magnum (from Bad Company 2) and the M1911 (also from Bad Company 2) from previous parts of the series. Now the shooting brawls are also landing in 2042 and can be unlocked via the new deployment system thanks to update 2.1.- New vehicle: A new lightweight buggy lands on the battlefield of 2042 in the form of the Polaris RZR. The vehicle can accommodate multiple players at once and was introduced at the reveal of Season 2. Now the good piece is finally available to drive yourself.
- Many improvements and bug fixes: Update 2.1 reduces mouse input lag issues, optimizes balancing for the Nightbird and attack and transport helicopters, improves Irish’s APS-36 sentry system, and brings many other changes and improvements. You can get an overview on page 2 of this article with all patch notes.
Liquidator
-Event announced for October 2022
Last but not least, DICE has announced a new event that is scheduled to start in mid-October – there is currently no specific date. Neither do we know what to do with The liquidators
will come to us. The few, sparse information at least reveal that infantry gameplay is the focus and players can earn new cosmetic items. Wait.
