How to step forward in FIFA 23
Passing right and stepping left are 2-star skill moves in FIFA 23, which can only be performed by players who can do 2-star skill moves. Don’t worry though, this usually won’t be a problem as most players meet this requirement except for some goalkeepers with lower ratings.
If you want to be sure, you should check a player’s individual stats, then look for the number next to “Skill Moves” to see what level of moves you can do while controlling them.
When you control a player who can perform a 2-star skill move, all you need to do is roll the right stick from the top of the stick to the right, in a quarter motion to take the right step.
If you want to take a step to the left, you’d rather roll the right stick from the top of the stick to the left, in a quarter motion.

How to pass right for the ‘Rise of Mbappé’ moment
At first, the “Get noticed by Monaco” challenge as part of the “Rise of Mbappé” moment in FIFA 23 may seem like a problem to you (as it certainly is to me), but there is actually a solution. very simple to get this task done.
To pass right as Mbappé, you must follow the instructions noted above and roll the right stick from the top of the stick to the right, in a quarter motion – but you must make sure the animation is complete for the challenge to be marked as complete.
It’s easier said than done when you’re tackled by the opposing team, but we found it much easier to do when we took the ball on the other side of the field like Mbappé, because the other team will mostly leave you alone here. However, it can still be difficult to activate the skill move, so we also recommend turning to the top of the field and then only roll the right stick to move to the right. So no change of direction from the left joystick, nor sprint.
When the green tick appears on the “Step right like Mbappé” challenge in the upper right corner of the screen, all you need to do is bring it across the pitch and score a goal. Even if you have to restart the challenge, the tick will still apply – don’t quit the challenge, as it will be rest when you return.
You can do this in other modes to pass regularly, but the method is best used for completing challenges when it won’t affect your chances of winning or losing a match.
