One of the best iPhone keyboards is no longer available, SwiftKey announces it’s leaving the App Store on October 5th.
SwiftKey was one of pioneers in terms of predictive keyboards, those kinds of smart keyboards that learn your typing style so you can type faster. Its popularity was such that Microsoft bought it in 2016 and since then it has been one of the favorite keyboards of iOS and Android users. However, SwiftKey has announced that it will no longer be available for iPhone users
As you may have discovered ZDNet, the popular keyboard will leave the App Store in a few days. The keyboard It’s been more than a year without receiving updates on iOS, so we knew something strange was going on. Chris Wolfe, Director of Product Management at SwiftKey, confirmed the news:
Starting October 5, support for SwiftKey on iOS will end and it will be removed from the Apple App Store. Microsoft SwiftKey will continue to support Android, along with the underlying technology that powers the Windows Touch Keyboard.
