Almost a year after it h it every other platform, Skyrim: Anniversary Edition
Bethesda published a lot of ports and updates to The Elder Scrolls V
The 2017 version on Nintendo’s handheld, which a Special breath of the wild costume was not updatable until today. Nintendo announced the surprising news in a tweetbut it didn’t take long for people to start resenting the price:

While Switch games are often expensive, Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is the first that’s not an anthology, deluxe edition, or DLC pack to break the $60 barrier. Games now regularly do so on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, presumably because blockbuster production costs nearly double each console cycle. However, the Switch is five years old, and Skyrim
Also, the Anniversary Edition is only $50 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, where the new-gen upgrades were free. And it has nothing to do with the cost of Switch SD cards either, as the $70 price tag is for digital download. (People who already own Skyrim on Switch can now upgrade to the like their PlayStation and Xbox brethren anniversary edition for $20.)
My only guess? The regular version of Skyrim still costs $60 on Switch, and instead of dropping that price by $10, Bethesda decided to just add it to the new retail price. This is of course all speculation. As you might have guessed if you have been in this area for a long timeBethesda did not respond to a request for comment.
