While this is Striking Distance’s very first game, The Callisto Protocol is a game that’s causing a lot of excitement, and for good reason: it looks very promising. If you’ve doubted it, this brand new trailer should seduce you if you’re a little bit into survival horror.

Months go by and the Callisto Protocol is fast approaching, drawing an impressive hype that continues to grow across the internet. OWe remind you that this survival horror is a bit like Dead Space’s spiritual descendant and with good reason its creator is the same as for the Electronic Arts game released in 2008: There we find all the elements that made Isaac Clarke’s success… And it’s even disturbing at times.
As ultimate proof, this brand new trailer above sets the tone: There are direct references to Dead Space (the “shoot the tentacles” in bloody letters, a big nod to the “”cut off your lambs””” from the Visceral Games game), a similar rhythm, an almost identical atmosphere. We don’t want to dislike it at all and what’s more, the VF even makes its first appearance in the dedicated version that can be found just below.

The Callisto Protocol will put us in the shoes of Jacob Lee, a pilot who finds himself in a futuristic prison on one of Jupiter’s moons. Only then will it be invaded by biophages (Dead Space’s equivalent of Necromorphs) and our poor unfortunate will have to weave his way through the darkness to extricate himself from this very bad patch.
We will therefore find the use of telekinesis like Isaac Clarke, the same interface in real time, as well as a weapon panel to dismember our opponents. An experience that promises to get muscular and will be released on December 2nd on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
