Gaming News Stadia: a resounding failure for Google in gaming!

The September 30th daily program begins with reviews from the PlayStation stars. Then Stadia announces its closure and Ed Sheeran reveals his Pokémon music. The daily, let’s go!

Google Stadia announces its closure

Google Stadia had the promise of providing an extensive catalog of video games, all streamed and accessible on various mediums such as the computer, the smartphone and even the Chromecast. Announced in 2018, the service made many people dream but quickly disappointed gamers when it was released. Stadia was quickly forgotten just a few weeks after launch. Google CEO Phil Harrison has announced the closure of Stadia Studios and will go out of business on January 18th.

PlayStation stars controversial

The service PlayStation Stars Rewarding players has been controversial among players since its launch in Asia. Players who have reached Tier 4 of the Service will have priority over others when assisted by Sony Customer Service. This VIP status is not passed on to players as PlayStation Stars is a free service but the progression is not. To reach level 4 you need to get the wallet from the PlayStation Store.

Pokémon in collaboration with Ed Sheeran!

Pokemon works a lot with artists. The latest collaboration is with Ed Sheeran unveiling his latest track entitled Celestial. The clip therefore shows us several Pokemon like Pikachu, Squirtle or Charmander in a somewhat cartoonish style. These are animated and drawn by Japanese artist Yu Nagaba. The title can be heard in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, coming to Nintendo Switch on November 18th.
