The ancestral home of the dragon clan is calling you, World of Warcraft Players, soon you will travel to Dragon Island to uncover long-forgotten secrets.
So gather your friends and allies and get ready to heed the dragon’s call, as the World of Warcraft: Dragon Legion expansion launches on November 28.
The Dragonflight expansion pack takes you to Dragon Island, where you’ll explore four new dragon-themed areas: Wakking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, Mountain Azure Span, and Thaldraszus.
When the expansion releases, you can expect eight dungeons, four of which are upgrade dungeons and four are top-level dungeons.
Dragonflight’s included raid, Vault of Avatars, will go live with Season 1 the week of December 12. The season will also include a new Myth + Dungeon rotation and a new PvP season.
The update includes the MMORPG’s first race and class combination, the dracthyr Evoker. Playing as the Evoker allows you to switch between a humanoid appearance and/or a dragon appearance. A highly mobile character, if you choose this race/class combination, you can focus on ranged damage handling or utilize the dragon’s arcane talents as a healer.
In addition to the new race/class combo, Dragonflight also introduces Dragonriding. This is a brand new skill-based method of aerial mobility that allows you to ride your own Dragon Island Drake. As the expansion progresses, you can customize your baby dragon by collecting more appearance options and even skills to make your baby dragon fly farther and faster.
Dragonflight also includes a new talent system that goes hand in hand with a major class update. By reintroducing the talent tree, the new talent system promises to “empower” you to “make creative and meaningful talent choices” without compromising results.
You can also look forward to an updated professional and customizable UI with an updated HUD.
