The studio that made the PC port of God of War possible is already working on a new project. A completely new game but based on a PlayStation IP that is very popular among gamers.
Jetpack Interactive, the Canadian studio that brilliantly brought God of War to PC, is looking for talent for their next project. A game in close collaboration with PlayStation.
A game service from a PlayStation license, very popular among gamers
New job postings tell us more about Jetpack Interactive’s intentions. After God of War, the studio will still have Sony’s confidence to transform one “very popular franchise” service in the game. It is therefore one of the 10 GaaS (Game as a Service) titles that must be launched by 2026. A sector that the manufacturer now takes very seriously, investing massively in the creation of a catalogue.
We are now working with Sony to develop one of their flagship franchises within their highly anticipated games portfolio service.
Work with our team of experienced developers and be proud to be part of a team working on a popular IP.

To find out what PlayStation license it is, you’ll have to wait. Candidates only need to be able to create basic game systems. That includes “Skills, Moves and Weapons”, so very vague ideas. However, we’re sure it’s not The Last of Us Factions as the latter is being developed in-house at Naughty Dog.
An independent development approach
Far from being as massive as PlayStation Studios, Jetpack Interactive is a small team looking to take an indie approach. But without jeopardizing their ambition to produce an AAA on Unreal Engine.
The lucky ones will also need to master cross-platform development, suggesting the game will release simultaneously on PS5 and PC. The offers also mention the Xbox, but maybe because the two consoles are very close and therefore if the applicants know how to make a game on PS5, there will be no problem on Xbox Series X|S. Unless PlayStation radically changes the way it operates with its gaming service. After all, MLB The Show is no longer exclusive, but here it was primarily a decision by the American Baseball Association.
