The days are getting darker and the weather’s getting colder, but there’s one silver lining to be found in these dreary autumn months: we’re at the business end of the retail season, meaning more games for us!
There’s lots to look forward to throughout October and November and below, you’ll find a selection of featured titles hand-picked by us, as well as lots of other games and accessories that are launching over the next couple of months. Have a browse and see if anything takes your fancy!

The second entry in Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids series arrives on Switch on 20th October, as Mario and friends head out on a brand new galactic journey to explore planets and save their Spark companions.
There are plenty of familiar faces in the game’s eclectic roster, but new combat tactics and bosses will force you to work out brand new ways to get the upper hand. We can’t wait to get our hands on this one, and there isn’t long to wait! More pre-order options can also be found here, including the special Gold and Cosmic edition releases.
Ever since Joker’s arrival in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo fans have become increasingly hungry for Persona content on Switch. On 21st October, Persona 5 Royal joins the collection.
This is a definitive edition release of the game that comes bundled with plenty of DLC included – over 40 items of DLC in total, we’re told. You’ll be fighting for justice across the streets of Tokyo, unlocking Personas, customising your very own Thieves Den and more. If you want to become the ultimate Phantom Thief, pick up a pre-order below.
Finally, finally launching on 28th October is Bayonetta 3. Here’s hoping years of waiting will pay off!
The game’s getting both a standard and special physical edition, with the latter already proving extremely hard to come by. We’re keeping track of all the links you need in our dedicated pre-order guide, but you’ll want to jump on any stock of the Trinity Masquerade Edition whenever you see it.
Bayonetta struts through multiple locations in an all-new, over-the-top climax action game. Sporting a wicked new ensemble and somehow familiar pigtails, the titular Umbra Witch must face a mysterious evil using her signature guns and time-slowing Witch Time ability. This time, invading manmade bioweapons called Homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs.
One of the most intriguing Sonic titles in a good while is speeding onto Switch very soon indeed, as Sonic Frontiers launches for the system on 8th November.
With an all-new ‘open-zone platforming’ system at its core, as well as a fancy battle system and skill tree to contend with, Frontiers takes Sonic in a rather different direction than we’re used to. He’s stranded on an ancient island and is in search of missing Chaos emeralds, but you’ll need to help him take on hordes of enemies as you explore the game’s five islands to find them.
If you want to learn more before securing a pre-order, make sure to check out our hands-on impressions with the game.
Making us feel even older than we already do, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet introduces the franchise’s ninth generation on 18th November.
This time around, trainers are invited to explore the brand new Paldea region, finding new people and Pokémon along the way. Promising a “sprawling land of vast open spaces” to discover, the new games appear to be heading in a more modern direction, allowing players to go freely back and forth between three different story routes and even take on the eight Gyms spread across the region in any order. More pre-order options for this one can be found here.
