We know that a new Need for Speed is being developed. There are also reports that it will be released this year. Now there are somewhat more specific statements from industry insiders.
There has long been talk of a new Need for Speed this year. But now the rumor mill is buzzing around various insider information. Accordingly, the announcement of the new game titled Need for Speed Unbound, which has already been postponed several times, should take place within the next two weeks.
The announcement will be accompanied by a first trailer of around one and a half minutes in length, and the American rapper A$AP Rocky will be featured in the soundtrack. The statements are also condensed about a possible release date and are aiming for December 2nd, 2022.
As previously leaked, the new part should also appear exclusively for PC and the new consoles. In addition, some new elements should appear in the game, such as anime elements and a new type of map.
Leakers like Tom Henderson are also promising a possible playtest phase. According to reports, this could apparently take place from October 13th to 18th. But that’s not official at all.
Well, then we should find out more shortly. Incidentally, the game is being developed by Criterion Games, supported by employees of Codemasters Cheshire – the studios were merged in May.
