We continue to burn chapters in Microsoft’s purchase of Activision, ever since said deal was announced, valued at nothing more and nothing less than $70 billion we have witnessed a lot of news around the deal. The fact is that even with everything that has happened since the announcement of the intention to purchase and until now, the end would be the same, Microsoft will take over Activision.
From Microsoft they are very calm and are confident that said agreement will be concluded before the end of the 2023 financial year. The American company seems to have already evaluated all the hypotheses that could arise along the way and it only remains to complete to finish this, it’s been a case for a short time now.
Microsoft will acquire Activision as planned
Despite Sony’s attempts to stop the deal, it looks like little will change in the end. From Microsoft they said they are calm with the current steps stating the following:
The European Commission’s review of the deal is proceeding on schedule and in accordance with the regulatory process and we remain confident that the acquisition will be finalized in fiscal year 2023.
As you can read in the quote above, the statements made by a Microsoft spokesperson on September 30 sound very compelling. For the moment, all that remains is to wait a little longer and finish closing the last chapters so that Activision ends up being 100% part of Microsoft.
