As Cyberpunk 2077 makes a spectacular comeback, we learn that the studio has long-term plans for the series.
Cyberpunk 2077 sequel confirmed
The single player DLC Phantom Liberty will be the only add-on content for Cyberpunk 2077 as the teams are otherwise busy. CD Projekt Red is indeed in the process of producing a sequel to its flagship game, which has dominated the news for better or for worse for years.
This “Cyberpunk 2” is currently referred to internally as Project “Orion”. Adam Kiciński, President of CD Projekt Red, says this episode will “proving the power and potential of the cyberpunk universe”. And to make sure you don’t miss out, the company is assembling two new teams that will form CD Projekt Red North America.
Our plans are certainly ambitious and require a lot of work, dedication and growth. For this reason we are forming a new team in Boston, which together with the one in Vancouver will form our new studio – CD Projekt Red North America. This will enable us to fully utilize the pool of North American talent.
