Among the requirements to install Windows 11, there are specifically two that, although they have to do with the system hardware, may seem Chinese to some users. One of them is the need for the motherboard to be compatible with TPM 2.0and the other that the equipment has activated Secure Boot.
Run Windows 11 on an unsupported PC
The ideal is that your PC has the TPM 2.0 module installed and configured (and in this link we explain how), and that Secure Boot is activated in the BIOS of your PC (to do this, access the BIOS of your PC and go to Advanced Options or Boot (and there you should find the Secure Boot option, where you can enable it, it’s as simple as that), but if you don’t meet one or more of these conditions, you won’t won’t be able to install Windows 11 or upgrade from windows 10where you will receive an error similar to this.
However, there are other ways to install Windows 11 on a PC that is not supported by its hardware, although it is true that you should be aware that these are unofficial alternatives. and with which you may have problems (by this we mean you may still not be able to run Windows 11 on your PC, especially if it is too old).
To do this, you must already have Windows 10 installed on your PC and access this GitHub repository, where you must download the file called Windows11Upgrade_EN.zip then unzip it to a folder on your PC. Once you have unzipped the files on your PC, select the Windows11Upgrade executable and right-click on it, then select the “Run as administrator” option.
A window will open in which you must select whether you want to update using a Windows 11 ISO that you already have or if you want to download it, so select the option that most interests you. After that, the application will tell us if we want to update keeping files and data, if we want to upgrade to Windows 11 keeping only data (but not installed programs), or if we want to perform a clean install (in which EVERYTHING you have on disk).
After selecting the desired option, click “Install System” and simply follow the steps of the wizard that will guide you through the process. This system, as we have already told you, is not official and therefore not devoid of possible problems, so it does not guarantee that you can install Windows 11 on a PC that is not compatible with the material, although in many cases it succeeds.
