As you can already assume, specialized hardware carriers already have the first models of RTX-4090 in our power to be able to show you our analysis as soon as the NVIDIA embargo is lifted, but from today they allow us to show you real images of this new generation of graphics cards. So in this article, we are going to show you our unpacking of Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24Gthe model we will talk about in more detail in a few days.
As you can already guess from its name, the RTX 4090 model that we are going to show you next is a custom model from Gigabyte, which incorporates its usual triple-fan heatsink (although oversized as you can see right away) and, in this case, it also has a slight factory overclock. Dark.

Let’s start by talking about the packaging, large dimensions and weight as it could not be otherwise. We are faced with a fairly large and heavy box on the front of which we can see the brand and the model, and where the manufacturer also highlights some of its characteristics, such as its 4-year warranty or compatibility with DLSS 3.0 technologies. and NVIDIA Reflex.
On the other side, what we have is information on the heatsink, with its 10-centimeter triple alternating fan design and the oversized rear hole that guarantee operation at the right temperature.
The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24G is of course huge, and we are dealing with a graphics card weighing more than 2 Kg, which is why the manufacturer includes a support among the accessories that will allow us to literally screw the graphic to the same support than the motherboard.
The aesthetic design of this model is exactly the same as what we have already seen when we analyzed the RTX 3050, also from Gigabyte, but obviously with a much larger size.
This model, like that of other manufacturers and even similar to the Founders Edition models of NVIDIA, has more than considerable dimensions, 35 centimeters long. You can see its exact dimensions in the following image gallery.
One of the new features that this new series of graphics cards powered by the new Ada Lovelace architecture will incorporate (in addition to DLSS 3.0 and many more that we’ll talk about in depth when we post our review) is power delivery, which has also changed physically with the famous 16-pin NVIDIA connector.
This Gigabyte graphics card includes an accessory that will allow us to use a total of four 8-pin PCIe connectors from the power supply to convert it into a single 16-pin connector for the graphics card, although as you will see it is quite short, the connectors are very thick, and that means that we will have no choice but to leave them there “suspended” in the middle of the box.
Luckily, some manufacturers, like CORSAIR, already have their own native cables for these 16-pin connectors, and in our case we’ll use the one from CORSAIR because it allows us to use two PCIe/EPS connectors from the source with a single cable. and a single connector, instead of having to use 2 cables and 4 connectors. We will also talk about it in depth in the review.
