Rumors about Bloober Team being developed Silent Hill 2 Remake That’s true, according to film director Christoph Gans.

In an interview with French media MaG – Movies and Games (Thanks to ResetEra, via IGN) The Silent Hill film director claims that multiple teams at Konami are working on multiple games.

Gans said he was working with the same Silent Hill team he worked with on the first film in the series, and we think that’s how he got his message.

“I know a little about [next Silent Hill game]. I work with the original creator, Silent Team. I work with Konami,” Gans said.

“I’m working with Silent Team, they’re the original Konami creators, and as we said, there’s a couple of games in development, there’s a couple of teams involved, there’s a lot of games, and they’re going to revive the franchise, and I think they It was the success of the Resident Evil remake that impressed me, it’s obviously a very good game.”

When under a little pressure from the press, Gans went on to say “yes” the Blobber team is working on a Silent Hill 2 remake.

Of course, his comment is still not a direct confirmation of Konami, so we’ll just add it to the current stack of evidence.

Back in February 2021, Bloober Team announced that it was working with a “famous game publisher” on an existing horror franchise, with many speculating that the project was a Silent Hill game. Confirmed publisher next month is Konami. In May, images of what claimed to be a Silent Hill reboot surfaced online thanks to prolific leaker Dusk Golem. Konami quickly released the DCMA, causing the image to be taken offline.

In late May, more rumors of a Bloober Team development remake surfaced, along with news of several Silent Hill projects in the works. Come July, Bloober Team has finally addressed the rumor, but neither confirmed nor denied it.

While all signs point to a Bloober Team Silent Hill frontline for sure ahead of an official announcement, we just need to file everything as rumors. Maybe Konami will reveal the next Silent Hill project during The Game Awards 2022. After all this would be the perfect place for a surprise announcement, but who knows? This is just our wishful thinking.
