Gotham Knight spoilers appear to be online after early release of art book

expected Gotham Knights Fans beware: spoilers have surfaced online ahead of the game’s release later this month.

If you find anything about Gotham Knights online, be careful as it has the potential to be a major plot spoiler. This is apparently from an early version of the game art book (thanks to Eurogamer), which is obviously unfortunate for those who may have seen the spoilers.

This in turn led Gotham Knights executive producer Fleur Marty to be frustrated with sharing spoilers. “I can’t understand why someone would spoil a story (whether it’s a game, movie, book, or whatever) for someone else,” Marty wrote on her personal Twitter account.

On a more positive note, to coincide with the game’s October 21 release, it received a game launch trailer showing the Bat Family in action as they take over Gotham City’s protectors following the death of Batman himself. The trailer is set to be a musical version of the incredible trailer for Heads Will Roll from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but who knows if any literal minds will roll in the game itself.

Last month, game director Geoff Ellenor explained how the game will vary depending on which character you decide to play, meaning you won’t be able to see all of the Gotham Knights in one game.

Despite multiple delays, Gotham Knights is finally slated for release this month, and in its August villain trailer, it even brought the release date forward by a few days.

The game will let you play as Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl or Red Hood, and you can play it by yourself or with friends online, offering something completely different from the Arkham series. Whether it will hold up against the best Batman game Arkham Asylum though is another question.
