Bandai Namco Entertainment has re-confirmed that you can now pick up Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival and the Taiko Drum Set edition both physically and digitally on the Nintendo Switch family of systems. “In TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL, players go on a whimsical journey through a music festival in colorful Omiko City. With their guides DON-Chan and new character Kumo-Kyun along for the ride, the game offers multiple modes to play, practice, and ultimately master the endlessly fun experience of playing digital Taiko drums set to favorite songs, including pop hits and video game classics. TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL features 76 songs available in the base game at launch, with new tracks such as “Gurenge,” “Feel Special,” and “Racing into the Night.”

Gameplay includes multiple modes, with a Story Mode where players vie to become a Taiko master, multiplayer modes with Online battles with new exclusive rewards every season and “couch co-op” Party Mode to play with friends and compete in fun mini-games such as the “Great Drum Toy War,” and Taiko Mode for endless play and practice. The game also features an engaging customization system, where players earn “Don Coins” as they play to acquire fun in-game items such as costumes and nameplates that factor into gameplay.”
