It turns out that FortniteServers went down, less than an hour before the launch of their prime world clip Star Wars: The Awakening of Skywalker it is because of the atmosphere at Rice Reels.

We got an Epic Games representative to ask what was going on and more details. Stay strong.
Rice Reels, FortniteThe world-class drive-in, was supposed to open at 1:30 p.m. scanning clip from Star Wars: The Awakening of Skywalker, which opens in theaters on December 20. Director J.J. Abrams will be involved in the test, with a tire from Thursday night at The Game Awards 2019.
Loot is in line with this event, too. Anyone participating gets a free TIE Fighter glider. There are a few Star Wars skins for sale in the in-game market, too.
Update: Players now have access to the game, and a worldwide message from The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley acknowledged that large numbers trying to get into the game were causing difficulties. The number of viewers on broadcasting services shows only 3 million other people watching there.
The Epic Games rep said that all players will receive a TIE glider, whether they attend or not (or even have) the test.

Update 2:30 p.m. EST: The match event started at 2:14, with a big fly from the Millennium Falcon, defeated by the TIE Fighters team after the State entered the program.
J.J. Abrams has appeared in the world to promote Keighley and the adorable Stormtrooper, before the clip was shown. It involved Rey, Finn and Poe going down to a certain First Order boat and Rey using Jedi's mind trick. High, he had his boat from The Army Awakens, not a lamp.
After the event, the Falcon had cleared and Emperor Palpatine plowed a bad deal on the Sith day. Fortnite Players have been given a torch in their choice of their favorite color.
