Three animals to find a child’s home in the middle of winter
Apple has made official the next premiere of an animated short titled “The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse”, which we will be able to see just on Christmas Day and of which at the moment we only have the official image which you can see in the header of th is article.
The characters are voiced by Idris Elba, Gabriel Byrne, and Jude Coward Nicoll, and the short itself is based on a book by Charlie Mackesy. But what is curious is that Jonathan Ive is mentioned as executive producer of this short film. He worked under Peter Baynton to create it.
Apple describes the short as “a classic cuteness animation” that tells “the adventure of an unexpected friendship between a horse, a fox, a mole and a boy who travel together to find the boy’s house
It’s not a complete film, but it can be a good appetizer to watch with the whole family in the middle of Christmas. We don’t have a trailer available (not much can be learned from a short film of a few minutes), but we can see a preview during the weeks leading up to the holidays.
