It’s time for more news about the game we love to complain about right now, which is – apparently – Overwatch 2.
After a tough launch that consisted of crowded servers, a controversial SMS protection system, multiple DDoS attacks, and many other bugs, Blizzard is trying to do good by offering players digital goodies.
Even so, when it comes to reparations with players, this digital gift pack is sure to fall behind. In a recent tweet about the Overwatch account, Blizzard said, “When #Overwatch2 launches don’t go well, you compensate players. In addition to making progress on bug fixes and stabilization, we have good things to share with all players.”
when #overwatch2 The launch was bumpy and you made up for the player 😤
In addition to making progress on bug fixes and stabilization, we have good things to share with all players

What does this package include? A Health Pack weapon trinket and Cursed Captain Reaper skin. That’s it. Overwatch 2 players will also learn 2x Match XP Weekendbut is this really Blizzard’s idea of apologizing to players?
Overwatch 2 players had to deal with queues of up to 40,000 players at launch, as well as server disconnects. Some players were unable to access the game due to their use of VOIP or prepaid phones, while some who could enter found that most of their characters were still locked.
For the lucky few who get into the game without being seriously affected by any of these issues, they will have to deal with issues like a broken Bastion Ultimate Edition or a broken Tord kit; both heroes are temporarily removed from the game removed.
I’m not saying Overwatch 2 players are entitled to more apologies from Blizzard than a hero’s weapon charms and cosmetic items (we could at least get an Angel skin, please), but it’s probably the least Blizzard can. Double XP weekends would be fun, but considering how bad the in-game progression is currently (you currently need to spend 260 weeks playing, or £130, to have all of Kiriko’s cosmetics), I don’t think it’s going to bring everything The difference is too big.
