“She-Hulk” didn’t convince all Marvel fans with its first season on Disney+, but in the season finale the series used all its strengths for a particularly creative conclusion. Not only did we get meta fun at the expense of the MCU, but we also got to know a whole new and important new character. Netzwelt reveals when, how and whether “She-Hulk” will continue in season 2.
She-Hulk Scale 2: Start Date
Season 2 of “She-Hulk” has not yet been officially confirmed. That’s unsurprising given that few Marvel series have been immediately renewed for another season. On the one hand, Disney has to check the success of the series, on the other hand, a continuation of the story does not necessarily have to be told in another season.
The story of “WandaVision”, for example, was continued in the cinema in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and She-Hulk could simply appear in other MCU productions from now on, such as “Daredevil: Born Again”.
However, the Season 1 finale seems to already hint at a Season 2 while humorously ruling out a “She-Hulk” movie. It should be certain that we haven’t seen Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk for the last time.
She-Hulk Season 2: Storyline
Without a confirmed Season 2, there’s little that can be said about the plot of a potential sequel. Especially since season 1 broke the fourth wall so violently in the finale that a return to normality is hard to imagine.
The Intelligencia storyline seems to be complete, and Titania is hardly a threat anymore. A pure lawyer series is unlikely, but a mix of courtroom comedy and action series is conceivable.
Daredevil and Jen seem to have feelings for each other, but the diabolical lawyer soon disappears back to New York, where we’ll see him again in his own series (he may also get a visit from Jen).
Any twists and turns from the finale feel more like preparations for upcoming films. So Wong frees the imprisoned Emil Blonsky from prison and leads him through a portal to Kamar-Taj. We may see Blonsky and Wong again in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie.
Arguably the biggest twist is Bruce Banner’s revelation that he has a son named Skaar. Bruce was on Sakaar for much of Season 1, though the exact circumstances of his whereabouts remain unknown and likely to be explored in a future film – just as Jen wanted KEVIN to be.
A separate Hulk film would actually be due here, but the rights to Hulk solo films are still owned by Universal, so Hulk can actually only appear in one other film with his son. Of course, only KEVIN knows when and where that will happen!
The MCU continues in November with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This ends the rather aimless 4th phase of the MCU, but in February Kang returns in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and with it the big villain for the next Avengers event.
