This soap opera lasts too long. With a CMA supporting a Sony that continues to present a meaningless battle against Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard, a good handful of companies in the sector directly supporting the purchase…the thing seems to be far from over.
Sony itself has blocked access to Game Pass on its consoles, it’s something that no longer catches up with us, in fact from my point of view it would be a pretty strong Trojan, and it makes sense that they don’t let the Americans get in there. But it is that what they demand from Microsoft is absolutely absurd.
Shawn Layden, amazed by the absurd arguments of Sony
The latest summary of their allegations reveals that Sony is requiring Microsoft to make Call of Duty reach PlayStation consoles, not reaching Game Pass, and Xbox users not getting any additional benefits. Come on, they almost didn’t demand that Microsoft pay for Christmas dinner for the Japanese company’s employees.
Faced with this string of bullshit (sorry, it’s bullshit and you have to call things by their name), David Jaffe reacted quite violently expressing the absurdity of Sony’s whole approach. Jaffe is popularly known for being one of the fathers of God of War among other games for the Japanese company. However, perhaps more than Jaffe’s clip itself, what surprised us all was the response from former PlayStation CEO Shawn Layden.
Layden replied that the three emojis of “breathtakingwhich shows that he himself is surprised by these meaningless requests.

Layden and Phil Spencer have been quite collaborative in the past, admitting to being friends on several occasions. From now on, the ex-director of Sony works for Tencentwhich explains why he can express himself openly on the subject.
