February's last big event at Pokémon Go This weekend's friendly event, open to a plethora of friendly venues in a few days.
Starts Friday Feb. 21 at 8 a.m. local time and runs until Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. local time, players will have access to the following:
- The level of great friendship goes up
- Frequency trading candy
- Hard Stardust charges allowable
- Ability to unlock 40 gifts per day (up to 20)
- Able to carry up to 20 gifts (up to 10)
While there seem to be no special Pokémon drugs or new Shinies for this event, it's a great weekend to take advantage of if you want to swap Pokémon famous for your friends, or maybe trade the regional king you hide while on vacation.
To make the best of this weekend, consider catching a buddy and trading Pokémon that you discuss for all of you. Keep in mind that Pokémon sold once can never be sold again, so don't trade any Pokémon you like to plan on using. You should also remember to open gifts every day to increase your friendships, as reaching out to new friendships offers a huge chunk of XP.
