It is an open secret that FIFA 23 should also have a special mode suitable for the soccer World Cup in Qatar. Now the scope has been leaked in advance – by EA itself.
Oops, Electronic Arts must have made a mishap! In the PS5 version of the current FIFA 23 – which got off to an excellent start – the new World Cup mode was apparently accidentally leaked in advance. Players already had access to the menus and team lists, but were not yet able to complete matches.
The WM-DLC has not yet received an official start date and the official presentation by the developer and publisher is still pending. Photos from the leak that have appeared on the web give a good impression of what to expect.
Four different game modes will therefore await you in the part of the football World Cup in Qatar: FIFA World Cup Live, FIFA World Cup Kick-Off, Online Tournament and FIFA World Cup 2022. Furthermore, 48 teams can be selected in this part of the game, i.e. 16 more than the 32 qualified teams for the tournament.
The World Cup starts on November 20th in Qatar; in this temporal context, a presentation and/or publication of the additional content can also be expected. It is the second time that there has been a major leak around FIFA 23. A month before release, Xbox players who triggered the pre-load were able to gain access to the game, although that wasn’t the intention.
