Extremely weird, disturbing flesh, disturbing penis, survival horror game inspired by HR Giger contempt Finally came to Gamepass. But what exactly is this other than Prometheus aesthetics?
Hmm… eggs redistributed and poked stuff in holes. It might just be one of the most interesting experiences to hit the next generation so far: No matter how disturbing things are, it leans so strongly and explicitly towards its aesthetics that you have to admire it just for its vision. Not since Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days has a mainstream release gone all out to surprise audiences like this, and if anything, Scorn is even more disgusting.
But Scorn is more than just visuals, it’s a fascinating world to explore…if you’re patient enough and patient enough to solve some dizzying puzzles. As Kelsey pointed out in her review, Scorn is an exercise in ambient storytelling that eschews cutscenes and presentations and just lets players piece things together on their own. It doesn’t provide all the answers, most of its deeper meaning can be explained: it turns out to be more compelling.
Well, that’s a fitting tribute to HR Giger.
