Thanks to the original director, the Kingdom Hearts TV pilot finally sees the light

director, finally, Hearts, Kingdom, Light, original, Pilot, sees

do you know? Kingdom Hearts The TV show was in development at the time? Well, the original director shared the pilot earlier this week.

The Kingdom Hearts TV series is an original game developed in the United States, but it never made it. While bits and pieces of the show have surfaced online, such as storyboards and various artwork, the full pilot has been the holy grail for fans for years. Now, the head of the Seth Kearsley project has shared the full animated pilot online, and honestly, it’s not the worst thing in the world.

The animation is narrated by Pinocchio’s Jiminy Cricket, the companion of the protagonist Sora in the original game, which is a perfect fit given his normative record of the game’s events. It’s definitely rough around the edges because it’s animated rather than fully animated.

Interestingly, almost all of the voice actors are back, the only thing missing is Sora herself, played by Haley Joel Osment, apparently due to scheduling conflicts that give him very little chance to actually play for this Character voiceovers.

Kingdom Hearts sometimes struggles to capture the traits of characters like Donald and Goofy, so has its own take on them, but the pilots are more like what they’re like in other looks.

The pilot is also very succinct, telling you what you need to know, most of which is set on Aladdin’s Agrabah.

In another video, Kearsley explained that he wanted to share a job he didn’t have before to “put in” the world after he decided to share the pilot after a serious car crash that nearly took his life in January. ”

Unfortunately, Kearsley has removed his upload because someone at Disney “was politely asked to politely ask me to delete it” because he explained. Although obviously someone else has re-uploaded it, so you still have time to check it out.

Overall, it’s an interesting look at another world that will feature a 2000s Disney show featuring Kingdom Hearts. Whether this is a better world, we will never know.
