We’re more used to associating computers with Acer like the recent 516GE Chromebook than other devices. However, the Taiwanese-based company announced a new entry-level tablet.
This is the Acer Sospiro AS10LXPro, which Despite its simplicity, it has interesting attractions. Although its software is not the latest, it can boast of having Android, as well as other additions such as the facial detector that the company presents as one of the star functions.

Unisoc processor, facial recognition and Android 11
If we talk about design, we find a very simple tablet combining metal and plastic materials. It has straight edges, a rear that is only modified by the protruding camera module with flash, and a front where we find the screen, but with pronounced bezels.
It is precisely on this front that we find a 10.36 inch IPS panel. A capacitive screen without too much noise and which hides a 2000×1200 resolution pixels.
If we talk about performance, and failing to test this tablet, it is clear that it has a basic chip such as the Unisoc T618. A processor that was presented several years ago and to which is added a configuration of 4 GB of RAM which are completed by 64 GB of storageexpandable up to 128 GB with a microSD card.
Other technical sections to highlight are its 6000mAh battery. The manufacturer does not specify how fast it can be charged, but we know that it incorporates a USB-C port, good news if we take into account that in mobiles and tablets of this range it is still common to find a Micro USB Port.
As for the cameras, we find a 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 13-megapixel rear camera plus a flash. Although this section does not arouse the most interest in a tablet, it must be said that it has video recording in 1080p with up to 60 frames per second.
A fingerprint reader is not added to this tablet, or at least it is not specified, but there is talk of facial recognition. The manufacturer also does not detail this system excessively, but we can deduce that it is obtained by recognizing the front camera.
As for the software, this tablet comes with Android 11. It is true that being a low-end tablet like this is not that it is a drama, but it should be noted that it is already a bit outdated if we take into account that Android 12 came out a year ago and Android 13 is already starting to roll out.
Acer Sospiro AS10LX Pro Price and Availability
Although all of its features are officially known, the truth is that this tablet has not yet been officially launched. It appeared on Acer’s own official website for Latin America and the exact date it will arrive is unknown, as well as its possible launch in other territories such as Europe and the price at which it will do so. Therefore, we only know its memory configuration.

It must be said that, given its specifications, wants to be an economical tablet. Therefore, in the event of reaching Europe, it would be oriented towards an undemanding public that seeks the most basic actions of a tablet.
