The Sims 5 is coming because EA has announced a new title in the series with “Project Rene”. There is already a rough forecast for the release of the Sims 4 successor.

In the live stream “Behind the Sims Summit” EA announced the successor to The Sims 4. This will probably be called “The Sims 5”, but for now the project name is “The Sims Project Rene”.
The developers of Maxis want to take the brand to a new level, especially in terms of sim behavior and the way fans can enjoy the game across all platforms.
Multiplayer for The Sims 5 confirmed
In this regard, the creators also confirm a multiplayer for the new game. This is not explained in detail, but cooperative play will definitely be a focus.
An editor can be seen in the stream in which players can cooperatively design furniture and choose the pattern of a sofa, for example. The developers would still check other modes within the multiplayer, Maxis Netzwelt said in an interview.
Release still in the distance
The Sims Project Rene is already in development, but there is no release date yet. Maxis speaks of “a few years” until the time comes. We suspect that The Sims 5 will be released in 2024/2025 at the earliest.
Until then, you still have enough time to play The Sims 4 or The Sims Mobile for free. A balcony editor will appear for the Sims Mobile in the future and in 2023 you can make yourself comfortable in the game on luxury yachts.
