Building on the success of its previous controllers, Turtle Beach is laying down cover with the presentation of its newest controller, the Recon Cloud. Designed to easily connect to all devices in the Xbox ecosystem and loaded with options, it could well be one of the best alternatives to stock controllers.
A single buzzword: compatibility
It’s very simple, you can use your Recon Cloud controller with all the computers that Xbox or its partners currently have.
Equipped with a 3m detachable braided cable for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC gaming or press the button to play Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and more with Android 8.0+, Windows devices, Samsung PCs and TVs to play wirelessly.

If we can immediately regret that it does not connect to the Xbox natively wirelessly, but only through its braided cable, it still allows switching without a break or almost between any device.
- A battery rated for 30 hours of wireless playtime and equipped with fast charging
- Two colors (black and blue magma)
- Adjustable phone holder for almost any model, even with a case.
- As a bonus, subscribe to a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
What about options?
The beast is not lacking in arguments to become a reference question. Besides Xbox Game Pass, the controller can be easily used on GeForce Now and Steam Link. The haptic feedback triggers like the textured grips guarantee you a good grip and it has a range of buttons, some of which are configurable.
Easy access to Turtle Beach-only audio controls including EQ presets, game and chat sound settings, microphone feedback and more.

As well as these numerous commands, there are also various “Pro-Aim Focus” modes to adjust the sensitivity of the joystick and improve your precision, as well as two configurable quick action buttons reminiscent of the palettes of the official Xbox Elite controllers. If these have not convinced you so far and you still want to dare the adventure of a “Pro” controller than the one included with your console, the Recon Cloud is an interesting alternative.
It is already available on the manufacturer’s website and from many retailers at the recommended price of 99.99 dollars. If we get a chance to test it, count on us to give you our opinion.
