With each new one bayonet game is coming a new look for the Umbran witch who is “big enough to kick your ass”. But in bayonet 3Cereza takes on an entirely new form: a demonic train.

This might sound like the setup for a shit post, but I ain’t shit you, one of Bayonetta’s newest forms turns her into a rootin tootin’ move. This new locomotive transformation is directly in line of sight of the train Nintendo’s Japanese website for bayonet 3. It turns out that Bayonetta is able to transform into a small engine thanks to a new power called Demon Masquerade. Demon Masquerade allows Bayonetta to fuse with her weapons, assuming her form and unleashing a barrage of demonic combos.

According to the website, Bayonetta’s entire body fires chainsaw-like weapons similar to Chainsaw Man after merging with the Dead End Express demon engine. tear and rest, salamander. I suppose chainsaws follow the same principles as trains when you really think about it. To make things even cuter, she can also run at “high speed” in train form. After Trainyonetta lays out a rail of blue fire, it will crowd her way like Sora’s Big Magic Mountain Theme Park Attraction Flow Attack Kingdom Hearts 3. I’m guessing Sora gave Bayonetta that motor combat tip shortly after he joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Oh, and there’s Trainyonetta lore too. Demon End Express’ is called the T696, and as you may have noticed, it’s no ordinary locomotive. It turns out to be a combat platoon from “a world far, far away,” made with state-of-the-art technology for national defense. Of course, at some point, T696 was transformed into a demon with a “vengeful spirit,” which explains the goddamn chainsaws popping out of its sides.

But why a train gun? Bayonetta, similar to Dante from the Devil May Cry Series, make deals with demons, turning them into stylish weapons. In the past, Dante had unorthodox weapons like a guitar, a cowboy hat, and Pandora’s box. Bayonetta’s strangest weapons include ice skates, Super Mario 64‘s chain chomp and a thinly veiled metaphor for a vibrator. Recently, Dante was able to turn a motorcycle into a weapon with Cavaliere Devil May Cry 5so it’s only right that Bayonetta has to do the same with Thomas the Demonic Tank engine in bayonet 3. It’s equality.

Aside from T696, the only other new Demonic Masquerade transformation worth mentioning for its wacky premise is their demonic mic called the Ribbit Libido-BZ55l. After merging with a fashionable infernal demon toad named Baal, Bayonetta’s flawless singing voice transforms into a powerful weapon, weakening enemies, increasing their attack power and leaving a trail of poison in their wake. Yes, bayonet 3 evolves into Metal AF in more ways than one. I’m waiting for the day when PlatinumGames and Capcom combine their promising forces and crazy ideas by letting Bayonetta and her “play cousin” Dante form a band. We all know the two of them would rock so hard together live.

bayonet 3 Slated for release on Nintendo Switch on October 28th.
