Surprisingly unspectacular, an almost historic announcement was made recently. in the latest blog entry of the Anno Union the development team officially announced that they are currently working on a console port for Anno 1800.
No other main part has ever been released for PlayStation or Xbox. The only excursions away from the PC came in the form of handheld versions, although these were spin-offs rather than flawless ports of the PC template.
Now the enormously successful building game is to be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Amazon Luna.

Technical test starts in November
The blog entry not only announces the console version of Anno 1800, the team is also looking for the first volunteers for a technical test. If you are selected for this test, you can already play Anno 1800 on a console in November 2023.
However, you must first register for said test and of course have a console at home. The test takes place on either an Xbox Series X/S or the PlayStation 5. To register for the test, you have to follow the link below and you Sign in with your Ubisoft Connect account. You will most likely be informed via email whether you have been selected.
When is the console version coming out?
There is currently no release date for Anno 1800 on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. However, the team speaks of the fact that it early 2023 will give more information. So you don’t have to expect a release before then.
What else is there for Anno 1800?
If you’ve been playing on PC since 2019, you’ll certainly be interested in the DLC future of Anno 1800. And there is also some minor news. The ninth cosmetic DLC pack is still in development. This is the very exciting Old Town Pack. An expansion that allows you to add a medieval old town to your islands.
The DLC was already chosen by the community in May 2022. There is no release date here either, but at least a new screenshot of a fountain and an old city wall.
The Old Town Pack brings a touch of Anno 1404 to Anno 1800.
In addition to this new cosmetic DLC, the fourth season of Anno 1800 is also currently running. The second DLC, Reich der Luft, was recently released and brought with it fleets of airships! A DLC that is fun, but not in the premier class. The last DLC of the current season has no release date, but is scheduled to appear in 2022. Rise of the New World aims to add a new population tier and more islands to the New World.
